passes quickly,

Lingering odor of home – a
stowaway on the plane –
brings her anxious calm.

a meeting of names,
resumed where last encountered,

Or instead have we
persisted as an umbilical two?

Do names,
like dusty cans,
expire?
you wondered aloud,

If so I hope they last a thousand years,
